Tomas Fox

Tomas Fox

Executive Director

Tomas Fox has served as the Executive Director of Hoover Soccer Club since 2012 and has been with the club since 2005.  During his time at Hoover Soccer Club, he has built the club into one of the largest and most respected clubs in the state. Tomas played college soccer at the University of Montevallo and is originally from Argentina. He lives in Homewood with his wife Ashley and children Tomas and Enrique.

Paul Welch

Paul Welch

Director of Coaching

Paul Welch is in his first year serving as the Director of Coaching for Hoover Soccer Club. He as been with the club going on 23 years and has served in many capacities including Competitive Coach, Recreational Director, and General Manager. Paul player collegiate soccer at Birmingham-Southern College as well as spent time as a player in the A-League after college.

Oleg Sinelnikov

Oleg Sinelnikov

Technical Director

Oleg Sinelnikov is a former professional player who holds his Advanced National Coaching license and his USSF B license.  He has coached at the College and Club level for over 20 years.  Oleg is going into his 5th year as Technical Director for Hoover Soccer Club.  He is also a Professor of Sport Pedagogy at the University of Alabama. In 2018, Oleg he was selected as the Competitive Coach of the Year by the Alabama Soccer Association.

Misa Espinoza

Misa Espinoza

Junior Phantoms Director & Director of Operations

Misa Espinoza is originally from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. He grew up playing soccer in Alabama from the age of 5.  He played Club and High School soccer winning multiple titles.  Misa also played for the Birmingham semi-professional team at age 14.  He made the ODP Regional team and was chosen to train with Mexican professional team Chivas.  Misa has coached at Hoover Soccer Club since 2017 and has been serving as a Director for the past 3 years.

Michael Harris

Michael Harris

Recreational Director

Michael Harris is serving his second year as Recreational Director with Hoover Soccer Club. He has been with the club now for going on 8 years. Michael began as a Recreational Coach with his son, and then moved to the Competitive Program where he has been a coach now for the past 3 years. Michael has also worked with our Recreational Program for 5 years and is now the Director of one of the largest programs in the State.

Christian Martinez

Social Media & Website Manager

Christian is in his 3rd year coaching with Hoover Soccer Club where he is currently coaching the 2010 Girls team as well as the 2008 Blue Boys team. He is serving in her first year as the Social Media and website manager of the club in addition to his coaching duties. Christian is already doing aweome things with our social media, so be sure to follow us!

Amy Disko

Competitive Registrar

We are excited to welcome Amy Disko as the new Competitive Registrar for HSC! Her knowledge of soccer club operations and process give us a huge boost as we continue to grow as a club and competitive program. Amy was born and raised in Birmingham – grew up playing club soccer in the area and graduated from Oak Mountain High School. Amy continued her soccer career playing at UAB for 2 seasons and transferring and playing her final 2 seasons at Lee University (TN). 

Gwen Gilleland

Club Accountant

Gwen is serving in her first year as official Accountant for Hoover Soccer Club. She has many years experience in the accounting fields, specifically with soccer clubs in the Birmingham area. We are super excited to have her on board!
