Hoover Soccer Club (“HSC”) believes that all kids interested in growing through participation in youth soccer should be empowered to do so. The HSC Financial Assistance Program (“FA Program”) helps qualified players needing financial assistance to cover all or a portion of his or her required HSC fees. Awards of financial assistance under the FA Program are referred to as “FA Awards.” Each player (and his/her family) receiving an FA Award must meet and adhere to all guidelines set forth in the FA Award Application and demonstrate dedication through consistent attendance at team practices and games. Failure to adhere to these guidelines and policies can result in forfeiture of the FA Award.
To apply for an FA Award, an applicant must:
- Complete and submit the online FA Award Application
- Register with HSC for the Fall/Spring 2024-2025 season and pay in full the $200 deposit.
APPLICATIONS OF PLAYERS WHO ARE NOT FULLY REGISTERED WITH HSC OR WHO ARE
NOT CURRENT ON ALL FEES OWED TO HSC WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. - Prior to submitting your FA Award Application, please be advised of the following:
- Applications submitted by Applicants with unpaid fees owed to HSC from prior seasons will not be considered.
- All FA Award Applications are reviewed by the Executive Director and HSC Board of Directors, and all decisions of the said parties are final.
- FA Award Applications are evaluated primarily on the basis of financial need. Although an FA Award received in one year does not guarantee receipt of a future FA Award, the Board of Directors reserves the right to give priority to returning FA Award recipients who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to the Club.
- As funds for FA Awards are limited, not every FA Award Application will result in the granting of an FA Award. An FA Award may be granted up to 50% of the total age group fee. In the event an FA Award is granted, the recipient is responsible for paying the balance of his or her fees owed to the club on the same schedule as all other HSC players.
- FA Awards do not cover the initial deposit, nor do FA Awards cover any portion of players’ tournament fees, referee fees, league fees, uniform expenses, travel expenses or other Team Fees. All such fees are solely the responsibility of the player.
- Applicants will be notified of the Board’s decision by the start of the season.
- HSC is a private, non-profit youth sports organization exempt from federal income tax as an organization described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended. Our principal purpose is the promotion of soccer for the benefit of our players. The granting of FA Awards are subject to the discretion of the Board and HSC is under no legal obligation to provide any financial assistance to any player. HSC is free to discontinue this policy at any time, though HSC will honor any commitment previously made to a player. Inquiries concerning the Financial Assistance Program should be directed to our general manager.
